         The history that we have in the past continued until today and it will be in the heart of every Christians. But I question sometimes that why their is a lot of group who deviate the scripture which they said they studied the scripture. In relation to this, I learned that I must know the scripture. Furthermore, it is important to every Christian to have a deep relationship with the Lord. In which we can say we are in line to what the bible say. For me, I cannot \understand the bible if I don't have a relationship with the Lord. The Lord promise that the Holy Spirit will guide us and all I need to do is to meditate His word day and night.
        As I reflect it to myself, Christianity comes in the Philippines and it was spread through out the country. And I believe that God preserve His word in order for us to know Him. God did not reveal Himself only to the Jews but also to us.
        As an application to this, my job is to share the word to others and let them know the goodness and greatness of God in my life. .

        Last week we had our pizza party and it was a good time for us. Twas a significant day for me because, of our special guest Dr. Manges. He is really a man of God which He used for His work to spread the good news. In our past quiz we had given an opportunity to think what question we want to ask and Dr. Manges will answer it. 

        I learned many things from him. Though we already discuss those question but it widen my perspective in life. The history that we have right now is very significant and as I look back and think I really appreciate what our father church did. I also admired him for he really knew the dates, names and events of those history. 

We also discuss the Modernism, Mission and Miscellaneous. Modernism emphasized the human potential, progress, and the material world. It is something not good because in man tends to replace eternity with things. The thinking of man is far away from God's way. They think that they can change the world through their effort which their good works. They forgot that it is the work of God to us. 

The work of did not stop right there instead He uses many man to start of missionary work and evangelism. As i reflect it to myself, the desire of my heart is to glorify God and doing the ministry that He entrusted me. 

Reflection 7

What does social action do in our Church?       Go and make disciples the great commission that God want us to do. Maybe, social action can be part of the ministry in the church but, there are advantages and disadvantages of this. Advantages is that we can be able to help others, we can build relationship with them and we can also share the gospel but, the disadvantage of this is that people may think that we are using social action to get their attention to join our religion. The church should always think that all of these things is not about joining a religion. But to personally follow the Lord Jesus Christ. I admit that social action can attract people. And the role of the church for this is that, we need to present the gospel boldly and clearly that we are not doing this for the sake of the religion but to share the blessing that God has entrusted to us, to share the word of God that they may know Christ more and to follow Christ.   They must need to know that salvation is not about good works. it is by grace through faith in Christ. The church should disciples,preach, teach and Church should serve and love people not just inside the church but outside the church. So that, people outside will see that we are truly a follower of Christ.   I remember one of our professor here in BTC told us that we should have a ministry which is told in the bible. Personally, I agree to that because God never sees how you are good at this but He sees the heart that you love doing what He entrusted to us. So, social action may part of our ministry but we should always know that everything we do is inline in God's will. 

Reflection 6

        There are many people claiming that they are Christians but different in their walk in life. It is how many people looking Christians the same like others. Some may say that they like Christ but they don;t like Christians. for me, it is painful to here that because many times I act like others do. I always forgot that there is someone looking at me and observing me. 

        As we talked about puritans I've learned that this movement is emphasized Christianity to be more than just an intellectual. Focusing of being blameless and pure. But it is good to know that they are good in doctrines and they really practice it as what they know. And it is a reminder for me that I should not be complacent in my daily living as Christian. Knowing that my God is a jealous God.  He wants me to walk by faith fixing my eyes on Him. the  bible taught us about who God is and we can be able to know Him by reading our bibles and meditating it day and night. God never sees us failure because we are sinners but, God sees us as His own sons and daughters and redeeming us from our sins. 

        We should always acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. our relationship with the Lord is not just knowing him, but deeply seeking him meditating his word and to deeply love him. We are called to be his follower, so we must be like Christ, and being example to every one who look at us. We must ask God's guidance and help. and letting Him to control our lives.

Reflection 5

        Reformation is the significant history in Christianity. Martin Luther who started this Reform and convinced people to know the truth. Many people back then, believe to Luther for they are hungry for the truth. Selling of Indulgence to the people was opposed by Luther and it led him to study the scripture. He saw the need of the people when he preached the word of God he really stick of what the bible says and that is the need of the people to really know what is true.
        Many people today has been blinded by the teaching of other groups. They really don't know what the scriptures says for they don't allow to read it. They are teaching people in different way. As a child of God I learned that being silent of my faith doesn't help the person. I should speak out and share it to others. It may cost a lot of persecution and rejection and that's what the bible says if we follow Christ it is costly but it is rewarding. And that is what I've learned and apply it to myself I will be going out BTC and starting to have a ministry that God wants me to do. I don't understand what it is but, I believe it is something that God has already prepared to me. Sharing the love of God to those people around me. The salvation I received from Him must be share to others.

Reflection 4

As i looked back and see the beauty of God's works it always makes me cry. From the beginning God is always faithful. When our Church fathers fighting for the truth God is actively involved in their lives. Throughout century and until now God's preserving Church will never be in vain. 

When I reflected it in my personal life I always remember God's preservation to me and to my family. God never stops in working in our lives. Though we might experienced persecution, discrimination and even death but it is not vain. It is worth it, we experience those things because we know the truth and that is what happen in the past. But as I can see the power of God revealed to His people that until now we are still here and we have a purpose. I am part of God's purpose and I will do my best for the expansion of the Glory of God. 

Reflection no.3

Learning church history helps me to know what is the beginning of our church. Last week we discussed about council and each emperor by their times. At first, I was a little bit confused because of names and dates. But as long as I've learned from this subject I feel so interested now. 

Two things I wanna share and learned; I learned that even the emperor back then was cruel they give a part in our Christianity today, the life of Constantine become more popular for what he did in the past. Many of us will questioned about his Christianity but, we cannot judge for we cannot read the heart of everybody. Somehow, his impact become alive today, especially in our Christianity. Each of them has a big part and that is why, I can now appreciate church history. Furthermore, when we look at the past how Christian suffered from their beliefs, they are tortured by others and being persecuted. Next, what happen in the past has a big role in our times today. For me, I can able to understand that is why, there's a lot of religion existing today, that is because of what happen in the past. Each of them has a different view and stand. they are dependent of what they know. 

The life of Christ still remains it was 2000 years ago back then but it is always remains in the hearts of every Christians. That is the history that we should not forget for He is the head of our church.
