Reflection no.3

Learning church history helps me to know what is the beginning of our church. Last week we discussed about council and each emperor by their times. At first, I was a little bit confused because of names and dates. But as long as I've learned from this subject I feel so interested now. 

Two things I wanna share and learned; I learned that even the emperor back then was cruel they give a part in our Christianity today, the life of Constantine become more popular for what he did in the past. Many of us will questioned about his Christianity but, we cannot judge for we cannot read the heart of everybody. Somehow, his impact become alive today, especially in our Christianity. Each of them has a big part and that is why, I can now appreciate church history. Furthermore, when we look at the past how Christian suffered from their beliefs, they are tortured by others and being persecuted. Next, what happen in the past has a big role in our times today. For me, I can able to understand that is why, there's a lot of religion existing today, that is because of what happen in the past. Each of them has a different view and stand. they are dependent of what they know. 

The life of Christ still remains it was 2000 years ago back then but it is always remains in the hearts of every Christians. That is the history that we should not forget for He is the head of our church.

       Persecution always comes in every Christian's way. As I've learned from the past discussion about the history of the church and to our church fathers i s that they really experience persecution. When we say persecution it comes in many different ways. It may comes from our families, relatives and even in our community.

       Two things i learned from the lesson we discussed: First is that when persecution comes always remember that God is in control of everything. Like our church fathers they experience persecution that is why they may grow in the Lord. God may use persecution so that everyone who believes in Him will be able to trust Him and believe that He is the true and only god that is worthy to believe. Our church father is one of the examples that they really persevere until the end. Next thing is that persecution is our strength to holding on what we believe. That is why we should not take it an an easy challenge for us. 

We must learned from it no matter how hard it is. It will always happen to those who follow Christ and it will never stop because the enemy is always on attack. But this is the challenge for us that we should encourage our church to be strong and trust God for everything.
